Overview and Learning Outcomes

This module will cover the foundational concepts and terms related to cybersecurity, which will increase your vocabulary and will assist in understanding future modules as you progress through this course. By the end of the module, you should be able to:

• Describe what data needs to be protected on a farm and define the term ‘cybersecurity’
• Define the terms ‘confidentiality’, ‘integrity’, and ‘availability’ (the CIA Triad) in the context of cybersecurity and the impact of the Triad on farming data
• Define the term ‘cybersecurity risk’ and explain its origins
